This MOMO Design Fighter helmet went through a bit of a transformation recently, and James’ love for old school shows!
Red oxide primer finish, (which only looks better the more scuffs and scrapes it gets), contrasted with a bright, tattoo style art piece hand painted on each side and matte lacquered for preservation.
To top it off, in true Iron Plums fashion, each side of the lid has variations in the Femme Fatal, guaranteeing plenty of attention is to be given to your helmet.
(And let’s face it, if there’s one thing we enjoy, it’s attention to our helmets.)
Keep an eye out for more custom lids from Dark Iron Customs, available for purchase right here. And don’t forget, we do an on-demand paint service with your ideas or designs, contact us for more info!
We’ve finished our latest commission. Zips Motorcycles of Torquay had an ancient import Honda Rebel in a sorry state and they wanted it to have the Dark Iron treatment.
We started by tearing off half the bike and throwing it in a nearby landfill. Anything that wasn’t cool looking or a legal requirement, was removed. A new pan was fabbed up, giving the hardtail lines with the comfort of a softtail. To match, a totally custom battery box was created with the usual Dark Iron style, while the electrics were tucked neatly away in one of our hand made tool rolls.
Finally, a tank that could make the gods weep, was painted using some slick innovative use of craft glitter and copious amounts of lacquer.
The result? You be the judge of that. For us? We reckon this has to be the #1 contender for worlds Sexiest Rebel®
